Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a former municipal drinking water reservoir built in 1926 and later repurposed as a public art space and tour site. The underground concrete hall features a forest of columns and a reflective floor that hosts site-specific contemporary art installations. The Cistern is managed by Buffalo Bayou Partnership and began offering guided public tours and events after its rehabilitation and opening as an arts venue.
