Beer Can House (folk-art sculpture)

The Beer Can House is a private home transformed into an all-over folk-art sculpture by owner John Milkovisch beginning in 1968 by affixing thousands of flattened beer cans, bottle caps, and other recycled items to the exterior and yard. Over decades Milkovisch expanded the work into fences, a mailbox, and yard sculptures; it is now maintained and open for tours by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art. The site is widely cited as a prominent example of Houston visionary/environmental folk art.
