DeGraffenreidt-Johnson House

The DeGraffenreidt-Johnson House is a historic home located near Silk Hope, North Carolina, built around 1850 in the vernacular Greek Revival style. This two-story dwelling features a low hipped roof and a one-story porch, closely resembling the nearby William P. Hadley House. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. In a notable move to preserve its integrity, the house was relocated to Maine in 2017 to protect it from Hurricane Irma's potential damage.
