National Building Museum (Great Hall)

The National Building Museum occupies the former Pension Office building at 401 F Street NW, a structure completed in 1887 and noted for its 75-foot Corinthian columns in the Great Hall. Established as a museum in 1980, it focuses on architecture, design, engineering, and urban planning through exhibitions and educational programs. The museum is also known for annual public events such as its large-scale indoor installations and holiday Gingerbread House competition.
