Mystery Castle

Mystery Castle is an eccentric stone-and-found-material structure built in the 1930s by Boyce Luther Gulley in the foothills of South Mountain as a home for his daughter. The building's walls incorporate a variety of stones, bottles, and reclaimed objects, producing an unusual assemblage of rock and nonrock materials. The site is open for public tours on a limited schedule and is a longtime local curiosity in Phoenix.
