Willis M. Graves House

The Willis M. Graves House, also known as the Graves-Fields House and Oakcrest, is a historic Queen Anne style home located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Built around 1884 in the freedmen's village of Oberlin by African-American brick mason Willis M. Graves, this two-story dwelling features a striking polygonal bay, a wraparound porch, and a distinctive square tower. Although it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, it faced delisting in 2019 due to relocation but was successfully relisted in 2021. This house represents a significant piece of African-American history and architecture in the region, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
