Beco do Pinto

Beco do Pinto, also known as Beco do Colégio, is a historic passage in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil, connecting Roberto Simonsen and Bitterncourt Rodrigues streets. Originally serving as a vital transit route during colonial times, it facilitated movement between the city center and the Tamanduateí River. Today, it is part of the Museu da Cidade de São Paulo and showcases contemporary art installations. The alley features unique architectural elements, including granite steps and neoclassical gates, and is historically significant for linking two important buildings: the Solar da Marquesa de Santos and Casa Número Um. The site is protected as a cultural heritage landmark, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
