Ivy Dale Farm

Ivy Dale Farm, also known as Ivy Green, is a historic house located near Smyrna, Delaware, built around 1786. Originally a modest structure, it underwent significant remodeling in 1845, adopting a Georgian architectural style. The two-story brick veneer house features a gable roof, a rear wing, and a charming three-bay centered frame porch. Notably, it was the residence of two prominent figures, Congressman John H. Hoffecker and his son, Congressman Walter O. Hoffecker. The farm was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
