Price/Wheeler House

The Price/Wheeler House, located at 618 South 7th Street in Springfield, Illinois, is a historic residence built in 1899, notable for being the first Classical Revival house in the city. Its striking architecture features a two-story front portico supported by four Ionic columns, along with intricate frieze and dentillated cornice details. Initially constructed for businessman Isaiah Price, the house was later owned by former Springfield mayor Loren Wheeler.
