Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower (MetLife Tower)

Completed in 1909 and designed by Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower was modeled on St. Mark's Campanile in Venice. It was the world's tallest building from its completion until 1913 when the Woolworth Building opened. The tower features a prominent clock on its faces and a pyramidal roof and is a designated New York City landmark.
