Spire London

Spire London, located in West India Quay near Canary Wharf, is an ambitious construction project aiming to become western Europe's tallest residential tower at 67 stories. Developed by Greenland Group and designed by HOK, the project was initiated in 2016 with a planned completion in 2021, featuring 861 apartments and a budget of £800 million. However, construction has been halted since mid-2019 due to various challenges, including market conditions and safety regulations. The design of the tower draws inspiration from maritime history and the orchid flower, reflecting the area's heritage. As of 2023, the site remains empty, with potential plans for sale in the future.
