Glenwood Cemetery

Glenwood Cemetery was established in 1871 and is one of Houston's oldest continuously operating cemeteries. The cemetery contains the graves of many of the city's 19th- and early-20th-century civic leaders and prominent families, including Ima Hogg and William Marsh Rice. It is known for its historic funerary monuments, mature live oaks, and winding lanes that reflect 19th-century cemetery design traditions.
