Air Force Command Building, Belgrade

The Air Force Command Building, located at 12 Aviatic Square in Zemun, Belgrade, is a striking example of Yugoslav modern architecture designed by architect Dragiša Brašovan and completed in 1935. This monumental structure, originally serving as the Military Command, features a distinctive seven-storey tower and a façade adorned with a statue of Icarus, symbolizing the building's purpose. The Command Building has significant architectural and historical value, having survived a NATO bombing in 1999 and undergone restoration in the early 2000s.
