Fabric Workshop and Museum (contemporary material experiments)

The Fabric Workshop and Museum, founded in 1977, is a Philadelphia nonprofit museum and artist residency known for commissioning site-specific works in experimental materials such as textiles, print, and installation. It has a long-standing program of collaborations with contemporary artists who create new works that are later exhibited and archived by the museum. The institution relocated to its current building on Arch Street and continues to present rotating exhibitions, public programs, and artist residencies.
