Dovers Building

Dovers Building, also known as the Sniders & Abrahams Building, is a historic structure in Melbourne, Australia, built in 1908 by architect Hugh Ralston Crawford. It is notable for being the first flat slab building in Australia, utilizing the innovative Turner Mushroom flat slab system. Originally constructed as a warehouse for a tobacco company, the building features a Chicagoesque style with decorative elements from the Edwardian era. It was expanded in 1938, adding two more storeys. Dovers Building is recognized for its architectural significance and is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
