Kremlin Armoury

The Kremlin Armoury, established in 1508, is one of Moscow's oldest museums, located within the historic Kremlin complex. Originally serving as the royal arsenal, it was responsible for the production and storage of weapons, jewelry, and household items for the tsars. Renowned artisans, including gunsmiths and jewelers, contributed to its rich heritage. In 1806, it became the first public museum in Moscow, showcasing treasures such as ten of the 44 surviving Fabergé imperial Easter eggs. Today, it also houses the Russian Diamond Fund, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers interested in Russia's imperial history and craftsmanship.
