Rock 'n' Soul Museum (Smithsonian-developed installations)

The Rock 'n' Soul Museum on Beale Street was developed by the Smithsonian Institution and opened in 2000 to document the musical origins of Memphis. Its exhibits use interpretive installations with artifacts, audio, and film to trace the city’s influence on blues, soul, and rock music. The museum frequently rotates temporary and thematic installations alongside its core galleries.
