Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay contains approximately 1.6 million gallons of water and houses over 2,000 animals, including multiple species of sharks, rays, and sea turtles. The aquarium opened in 2000 and is designed to represent several aquatic habitats from around the world. It is located within the Mandalay Bay resort complex on the Las Vegas Strip.
