Rockland Almshouse

The Rockland Almshouse, located at 198 Spring Street in Rockland, Massachusetts, is a historic building constructed in 1876 that served as a communal poor house until 1979. This well-preserved example of 19th-century architecture features an L-shaped design with distinctive clapboard siding and a gabled roof. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and has since been repurposed as an educational facility for children and young adults with disabilities, making it a significant site for both historical interest and community service.
