Curry Hicks Cage

The Curry Hicks Cage is a historic athletic facility located at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, built in 1931 and named after long-time athletic director Curry Hicks. With a capacity of 4,000, it was once the home of UMass men's basketball and known for its vibrant atmosphere, hosting significant events like the 1992 Atlantic 10 Championship and a memorable victory over Temple. Although it ceased to be the primary basketball venue in 1993, the Cage remains active, featuring a pool, indoor track, and occasional performances, making it a notable site for both sports enthusiasts and visitors.
