Frost Bank Tower - distinctive limestone crown

Frost Bank Tower, completed in 2003 at the corner of Congress Avenue and 4th Street, is notable for its illuminated crown of Texas limestone and glass that is widely recognized on the Austin skyline. The building’s crown lighting and angled forms make it a frequent visual landmark in downtown Austin photographs and maps. The tower houses office space and was one of the tallest buildings in Austin at the time of its completion.
