Armco-Ferro House

The Armco-Ferro House, located in Beverly Shores, Indiana, is a historic home originally built for the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. Designed by architect Robert Smith Jr., it is the only surviving example from the exposition that exemplifies affordable, mass-produced housing for American families. The house features a unique construction of corrugated steel panels clad in porcelain enamel, which inspired post-World War II prefabricated housing.
