Central YMCA (Cleveland)

The Central YMCA is a historic building located in Cleveland's Central neighborhood, designed by the architectural firm Hubbell & Benes and completed in 1911. Originally serving as a residential facility for the YMCA of Greater Cleveland, it played a significant role in the development of the Cleveland YMCA School of Technology, which evolved into Fenn College and later Cleveland State University. Recognized for its historical significance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. After being purchased by Cleveland State University in 2009 and renovated into student apartments, it was acquired by Asset Student Housing in 2015 and is now known as The Domain at Cleveland, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in the history of education and architecture in the area.
