Palazzo Muti Papazzurri

Palazzo Muti Papazzurri is a stunning Baroque palazzo located in Rome, Italy, built in 1660 by architect Mattia de' Rossi. Originally constructed for Pompeo Muti Papazzurri and Maria Isabella Massimo, the palazzo features a grand open cour d'honneur accessed through a triumphal arch, though its façade has been altered over time. In the 18th century, it served as a residence for the Stuart family, pretenders to the British throne, making it a unique site of historical significance. The interior boasts preserved 17th and 18th century decorations, including frescoed ceilings and a gallery adorned with classical mythology scenes by renowned painters.
