Denver Union Station restoration and reuse

Denver Union Station's original depot opened in 1881; the existing Beaux-Arts headhouse that stands today was completed in 1914. After decades as a rail hub, the station underwent a major public-private restoration completed in 2014 that re-established it as a multimodal transit center and converted the historic Great Hall and adjacent spaces into a hotel, restaurants, and retail. The station remains the central hub for RTD commuter rail, light rail, intercity buses, and Amtrak service in Denver.
