Boulevard Works

Boulevard Works is a historic Grade II listed building located on Radford Boulevard in Nottingham, England. Constructed in 1883, it stands as the largest surviving tenement lace factory in the city, originally built for George Henry Perry and Sons. The five-storey structure, which includes a basement and attic, was designed to accommodate 234 Levers lace making machines. Notably, in 1894, Perry acquired a clock from the Nottingham Guild Hall to be installed in the factory. The building underwent an extension in 1896 for curtain lace production and transitioned from steam to electrical power in 1945. After serving as a knitwear factory until the 1990s, it has since been repurposed into the Cotton Mills Student Village, making it a unique blend of industrial heritage and modern student living.
