Project Row Houses - Third Ward community art project

Project Row Houses was founded in 1993 by artist Rick Lowe to rehabilitate and repurpose shotgun-style houses in Houston's Third Ward into art spaces and community assets. The site consists of multiple renovated houses used for artist residencies, exhibitions, affordable housing, and community programming. It is credited with pioneering community-based contemporary art practice in the neighborhood.
