Julius I. Foust Building

The Julius I. Foust Building, constructed in 1891, is a historic landmark located on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Designed by local architects Orlo Epps and C. M. Hackett, it originally served as the Main Building, housing all administrative and classroom functions until 1908. Renamed the Administration Building in 1908, it was later dedicated to Julius Isaac Foust, the university's second president, in 1960. This architectural gem is notable for being the only surviving nineteenth-century structure on campus and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in educational history and architecture.
