Magevney House

The Magevney House is an early 19th-century residence in Memphis that is interpreted as a house museum illustrating domestic life in the city's antebellum and early post–antebellum periods. The small frame house is associated with John Magevney, an Irish immigrant who operated it as a boarding house in the 19th century. It is one of the few surviving early residential structures in downtown Memphis and is open for guided tours and preservation programming.
