Loussac–Sogn Building

The Loussac–Sogn Building, located at 429 D Street in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, is a historic commercial structure completed in 1947. This three-story Moderne-style building features storefronts on the ground floor and offices above, with a striking green tile base and a polished stone entrance. Originally intended to accommodate a medical practice, it evolved into the largest office building in Anchorage at the time of its completion. Recognized for its architectural significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in the city's history and architecture.
