Huntington Avenue Grounds hosted the 1903 World Series (site now at Northeastern)

The Huntington Avenue Grounds in Boston hosted home games for the Boston Americans and was one of the venues for the 1903 World Series, the first modern World Series, in which the Boston Americans defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates. The former ballpark site is now part of Northeastern University's campus and is commemorated near current university buildings.
