Conservatory of Flowers

The Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park is a Victorian-era wooden greenhouse originally constructed in 1878–1879 and is one of the oldest surviving wood-and-glass conservatories in the United States. It houses historic collections of tropical and aquatic plants and underwent a major restoration that led to its reopening in 2003. The building's distinctive domed structure and ornate detailing make it a notable example of 19th-century greenhouse architecture in San Francisco.
