Federal Chancellery, Berlin

The Federal Chancellery in Berlin serves as the official seat and executive office of the Chancellor of Germany. Designed by architects Axel Schultes and Charlotte Frank, this monumental building was completed in 2001 and is part of the 'Federal Ribbon' in the Spreebogen area. It features a modern, largely glazed exterior and is renowned for its size, being eight times larger than the White House. The Chancellery includes various functional spaces such as conference rooms, a banquet hall, and offices, along with a unique pneumatic tube system for document transfer. The building symbolizes German reunification, highlighted by a sculpture by Eduardo Chillida at its entrance.
