Llonja de Sant Jordi

The Llonja de Sant Jordi is an exhibition space located beneath the Plaça d'Espanya in Alcoy, Alicante, designed by renowned Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Built between 1992 and 1995, its unique internal structure resembles the rib of a whale, making it an architectural marvel. Visitors can also admire the innovative access mechanisms to the underground room and the beautiful fountain situated in the square above.
