By Seeker
Washington Union Station at 50 Massachusetts Ave NE opened in 1907 and was designed in the Beaux‑Arts style by architect Daniel Burnham. The station serves Amtrak, commuter rail, and the Washington Metro (Red Line) and includes a large retail concourse with shops and restaurants. It functions as both a major transit hub and a local gathering place for events, travel, and daily commuting.
