Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA)

Founded in 1805, PAFA is the oldest art school and museum in the United States. Its landmark building on Broad Street, designed by Frank Furness and George W. Hewitt, opened in 1876 and is noted for its bold Victorian architectural style. The building houses the Academy's art school, museum collections, and historic studios and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
