Citgo Sign (Kenmore Square)

The Citgo sign is an illuminated commercial sign mounted above a building at Kenmore Square that has served as a prominent visual landmark in Boston since its installation in 1965. It is highly visible from Fenway Park and the surrounding Back Bay area and is commonly used by locals and visitors as a navigational reference point. The sign has been repaired, restored, and relit multiple times and figures prominently in photographs and media depicting Kenmore Square.
