Renz Block

The Renz Block was a historic commercial building located in downtown Lima, Ohio, built in 1900 in a late Victorian style. Known for its elaborate facade and significant architectural details, it was named after baker Jacob Renz, who expanded his successful bakery into the building. The Renz Block played a vital role in the local economy during Lima's economic boom due to nearby petroleum discoveries. Although it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the building has since been demolished, and a parking lot now occupies the site.
