Whaley House Museum (Old Town)

The Whaley House was built in 1857 by Thomas Whaley and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an early San Diego residence. Over time the building served as a general store, county courthouse, and theater before becoming a house museum interpreting 19th-century San Diego life. It is designated a California Historical Landmark and is open for guided tours and historical programming.
