Rand Tower Hotel

The Rand Tower Hotel, an aviation-inspired Art Deco masterpiece in downtown Minneapolis, was completed in 1929 and briefly held the title of the city's tallest skyscraper. Originally designed as the headquarters for the Minneapolis Gas and Light Company, the building features unique aviation motifs, including sculptures of Mercury welcoming guests into a beautifully designed lobby. After serving various purposes over the decades, it was transformed into Minnesota's first Tribute Portfolio by Marriott, opening in 2020 with 270 guest rooms and modern event spaces.
