Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Phoenix Sky Harbor began operating as a municipal airfield in the late 1920s and expanded through the 20th century into the region's primary air hub. The airport occupies land adjacent to downtown Phoenix and was developed with multiple terminal buildings and runways over successive decades. It remains one of the busiest airports in the United States by passenger traffic.
