Seattle Japanese Garden

The Seattle Japanese Garden, established in 1960 within the Washington Park Arboretum, occupies approximately 3.5 acres and was designed in the traditional Japanese stroll-garden style. The garden includes a pond, stone lanterns, winding paths, and a teahouse area, and it is operated by Seattle Parks and Recreation in partnership with a non-profit friends group. It is regularly used for cultural programs, seasonal plant displays, and public visits.
