US Naval Ordnance Testing Facility Assembly Building

The US Naval Ordnance Testing Facility Assembly Building, located on Topsail Island in North Carolina, is a historic site built in 1946 by Kellex Corporation. This unique 1 1/2-story structure, made of reinforced concrete, was originally designed for the fabrication and storage of missiles for 'Operation Bumblebee.' After being abandoned by the military in 1948, it found new life through commercial and recreational uses.
