Osceola Times Building

The Osceola Times Building, located at 112 North Poplar Street in Osceola, Arkansas, is a historic commercial structure built in 1901. It is notable for housing the Osceola Times, the oldest weekly newspaper in Arkansas, first published in 1870 by the town's first mayor. This two-story brick building played a crucial role in the development of Osceola after its relocation closer to the Frisco Railroad. The building features original doorways, plate glass windows, and distinctive architectural elements like elliptical arched brick lintels. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 but is currently on the 2023 Most Endangered historical properties list due to rapid deterioration.
