Prada Marfa

Prada Marfa is a unique permanent art installation by artists Elmgreen & Dragset, located in Jeff Davis County, Texas, designed to resemble a Prada storefront. Inaugurated on October 1, 2005, this sculptural piece serves as a commentary on consumerism and luxury branding, featuring actual Prada merchandise displayed in its windows. Despite its artistic intent, the installation has faced vandalism and theft, leading to repairs and security measures.
