Bochumer Hut

The Bochumer Hut, located at 1,432 meters in the Kitzbühel Alps of Tyrol, Austria, is a historic Alpine club hut originally built in 1832 for miners. It has evolved into a popular hiking destination offering overnight accommodations. The hut's rich history includes its transformation from a mining shelter to a club hut in 1928, and it is now managed by the Bochum Section of the German Alpine Club. Notably, the area is also significant for archaeological discoveries of a Bronze Age copper mine.
