Panaca Palace

The Panaca Palace, located in the Santa Engrácia area of São Vicente, Lisbon, is a historic building with roots dating back to the reign of King Sebastian. Constructed in the late 18th century, it features an L-shaped design with two distinct facades, showcasing elegant architectural elements such as pillars, cornices, and a grand interior atrium. The palace is surrounded by extensive gardens and is situated near other notable structures, including the Monastery of Santos-o-Novo. Although it has undergone various ownership changes and restoration efforts, including plans for transformation into a hotel, it remains a significant cultural landmark, classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1981.
