Sabhyata Dwar

The Sabhyata Dwar, or Civilization Gate, is a stunning triumphal arch located in Patna, Bihar, on the banks of the River Ganga. Standing at 32 meters (105 ft), it surpasses the height of the Gateway of India and showcases Mauryan-style architecture, symbolizing the ancient glory of Pataliputra. Inaugurated on May 21, 2018, by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, this impressive monument features inscriptions from historical figures such as Megasthenes, Ashoka, Buddha, and Mahavira. Built at a cost of ₹ 5 crore (50 million), it is part of the Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre and serves as a cultural landmark, attracting tourists and researchers interested in Bihar's rich history and heritage.
