San Jose Civic (formerly Civic Auditorium)

The San Jose Civic opened in 1936 as the city’s principal auditorium and exhibit space and is an example of Art Moderne civic architecture in downtown San Jose. The building has hosted concerts, conventions, political events, and sports and underwent modernization and seismic upgrades in the 2010s. It remains a major mid-sized performance venue and community gathering place in the city.
