Alamo Stadium

Alamo Stadium, located in the Monte Vista Historic District of San Antonio, Texas, is a historic horseshoe-shaped stadium primarily used for high school football and soccer. Completed in 1940 as a Works Progress Administration project, it boasts a seating capacity of 18,500, making it the third largest high school stadium in Texas. The stadium has hosted numerous significant events, including high school football games, college football matchups, and even professional teams. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011 and is known for its limestone construction, earning it the nickname 'The Rock Pile.'
